CHINGA Iron, Ataxite Found 1913 Turvinskaya, Russia The Chinga meteorite strewnfield was found some 100 years ago in a river bed in what is now Mongolia. As with all Ataxites, they have a very high nickel content allowing them to take a polish that rivals a shaving mirror. These slices are polished on both sides.
