Allan Hills, Victoria Land, Antarctica


This meteorite, the largest found in Antarctica to date, was recovered in the 1976-77 joint US-Japan field expedition know as ANSMET.

Antarctic meteorites are now protected by international treaty and the few that made it into the market before those protocols were in place have become both valuable and hard to get.
